About Us

Hazel Bowen-Wright, M.D., MRCP , FACE is the founder of Virginia  Endocrinology Consultants. She graduated from the Medical College of St.  Bartholomew's Hospital, University of London, United Kingdom. She did  further specialist post graduate training in the United Kingdom and is a  member of the  Royal College of Physicians.

She did her residency training in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital, The University of Pennsylvania Health System, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She did her fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Georgetown University Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and has recertified each of these credentials.

She is a member of the Endocrine Society, The American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, The American Diabetes Association. She is the Immediate Past President of the Mid Atlantic Society of Endocrinologists
